Sweet Surrender (Darwin)

Darwin is a 10 year old off the track Thoroughbred who came from the Turning for Home rescue organization with a versatile skill set and an even bigger heart. This gelding came as a green, misunderstood consignment horse in 2022, and Veronica spent two years chipping away at how this horse ticks. Flash forward to today, and Darwin has given many riders their first showing opportunities while still progressing up the levels.

While he easily works in both dressage and western disciplines now, his true passion is teaching walk/trot leadline lessons to young riders and children with disabilities. Sweet, patient, and gentle, Darwin takes special care of his smallest students, while giving his more advanced riders the opportunity to learn and refine their skills. He always enjoys a well-earned peppermint or carrot after a job well done.
