Cowboy Like Me (Cowboy)

Cowboy is the poster child of Fuse Equestrian. Him and Katie crossed paths in 2023 while he was located at a training program in Ohio, after being rescued from a kill pen by his original owner in Colorado. Barely halter broke at the time, his owner Shannon helped rehabilitate Cowboy and bring out his spunky pony personality. He has since flourished and moved up the levels, currently competing 4th level with the hopes of making his FEI debut in the future.

Cowboy is the ultimate confidence builder, requiring an active leg and steady seat to teach his riders a consistent connection. Versatility is in his vocabulary going both English and western, as well as giving therapeutic riding lessons here and there. He has helped Fuse Equestrian's assistant trainer, Koko Elbdour, earn her USDF Bronze medal in 2024, and several other students are on track for their Bronze. To this day Cowboy is giving many of his riders their first rated show experiences and bringing them up the levels with added spunkiness.

Out of the saddle, Cowboy is widely known for his circus tricks. He is a treat fiend, and bribery will get you far with this pony! Our students have taught him to "smile" and "fist bump" for treats.
